Motorola has finally confirmed that the Moto X will update to Android L, the next version of Android expected later this year. It’s been fairly difficult to tell whether the Moto X and Moto G will be getting Android L thanks to  an unofficial Facebook page for Motorola Germany announcing that they would be getting the updates, which was then denied by the real Motorola.

Thankfully there’s good news as it has now been confirmed by VP of Motorolas Product Management, Punit Soni, that the Moto G and Moto X will be getting Android L. The news comes after Google+ user Josh B wrote on his Google+ page, “Moto X is still going to get Android L (5.0) right?” with Soni himself, confirming it with a simple “Yup.”

The Moto X was seen to be Motorolas flagship phone at an affordable price and users of this device seem thrilled at the idea they will be on the new Android L software when it is rolled out this Autumn, unfortunately Soni didn’t reveal a date as to when the Moto G and Moto X will be getting Android L, so you could be waiting for some time.
