Volition games have used on going convention PAX Prime to announce their latest entry to outlandish series Saints Row, titled Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.
The title will be a standalone expansion to Saints Row IV, meaning that a copy of the original game will not be required to play Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.
Punters can expect the same level of insanity to Gat Out of Hell’s storyline as they enjoyed in Saints Row IV, as the Boss has been sucked into hell and it is up to Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington to tear through hell, before shooting Satan in the face, which seems to be a focal point of the title.
Players can expect to come across “historical icons, old friends, older enemies, a talking gun, and a while lot of other shenanigans” in the upcoming expansion pack.
There will also be a handful of new and outlandish weapons, which as is expected with the hyped up series range from the ridiculous to the sheer unexplainable.
Alongside the announcement of the standalone expansion Volition also confirmed that Saints Row IV will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week, with the company deciding to go down the remastered route, as opposed to bringing out a new title for the latest gen.
Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on January 27 in North America and January 30 in other markets, and will retail at $19.95.
