Despite Evan Blass, a.k.a. @evleaks, announcing his retirement it seems he didn’t want to go out without a bang. That bang comes in the form of another Moto X+1 leak this time a much clearer press render of both the black and white models of Motorola’s next flagship device. @evleaks has usually been spot-on with his Motorola leaks, but this time I’m hoping he’s wrong because it looks… awful.
The leak doesn’t really reveal a lot about the device other than what the final product may look like and that it comes in black and white with the option to choose from a range of different back plates – nothing new there. What it does show us is how actually awful the device may look if this leak is in fact legitimate. If I may be so frank, it just looks wrong.. it’s a little on the chubby side the massive camera and Motorola logo just look unsightly – and I’m a huge Moto X fan, so if this is legit, it looks like I may have to find a new company to pine over when its time to upgrade.
That side we can clearly see that this particular device will be released by Verizon and the date located on the lock screen is Septemer 17, which could be hinting at a release date, at least for the aforementioned carrier. The camera, all though it’s pretty gaudy looking, may have room for a dual flash with two located either side of the camera.
We’re definitely going to find out soon enough when Motorola hold their event on September 4.
