Free-to-play sci-fi shooter/slasher Warframe finally has a release date for Xbox One after a lengthy console exclusivity with Sony’s PlayStation 4. We’ve known that Warframe will be making its way to the Xbox One, we just didn’t know when, leaving us guessing as to when exactly we’ll be able to hack, slash, and shoot our way through waves of space-pensioners.
Warframe, for those who don’t know, is a free-to-play co-operative third-person shooter which mixes in a healthy dose of ninja-like hacking and slashing. In Warframe players must work together to defeat hoards of space-nasties called Grineer, a race of humanised clones who all seem to have the faces of 90-year-old men.
We’ve known since E3 this year that Warframe was coming to the Xbox One, but until now we’ve been left wondering whether the game was still on its way. Thankfully OAP ninja fans, you’ll be pleased to know that Warframe launches on the Xbox One on September 2, that’s a little over two weeks from now! The game is set to be a much more polished version of the PC and PlayStation version due to it’s late arrival, the game also takes advantage of the Xbox One’s DVR feature and Xbox Smartglass.
Are you looking forward to slicing up some OAP’s?
