HellomotoHK has released information and pictures about the upcoming Motorola Droid Turbo, which is set to become the company’s most powerful smartphone.
From the pictures, the Turbo features a plastic textured back, with a dual LED flash, 3 capacitive buttons and Verizon branding so we can assume it’ll be an exclusive to the network in the US. HellomotoHK says the screen is 5.2-inches and there are also front facing speakers.
This contrasts with earlier reports that the Turbo would have a 4.6-inch display. An anonymous source sent Android Authority pictures of benchmark specs of the phone. According to that, it has a 2.65GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 20MP rear camera and 2MP front, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4.4.
The interesting thing is that the benchmark specs showed that the 4.6-inch screen has a resolution of 2560×1440 (640 PPI). This is obviously a very high resolution for this screen size and so maybe the Turbo does have the same specs but on the 5.2-inch screen.
Whether it has the 4.6 or 5.2-inch display, this phone has some impressive specs and certainly puts it ahead of the Moto X. However, the fact there have been conflicting reports shows that you should take everything with a pinch of salt until something is officially announced.
