Road Redemption, the spiritual successor to the SEGA classic, Road Rash, has launched today on Steam after a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2012. Darkseas Interactive have finally dragged the game kicking and screaming to Steam’s Early Access and it’s available for all to purchase and download, right now.
If you thought travelling the open road with a throbbing beast between your legs was easy, you’ll be mistaken, at least in Road Redemption anyway as everyone, and I mean, everyone is out to get you, so get your leathers on, wrap that chain around your hand, and get out on the road to thrash some poor unsuspecting motorcyclist.. in the game I mean.. Jesus, sit back down, I didn’t mean in real life.. Are you mental?
“Lead your motorcycle gang on an epic journey across the country in this procedurally-generated driving combat adventure,” reads the games description. “Earn money by completing races, assassinations, robberies, and other challenges in your path. As you collect loot, you’ll upgrade your character, your bike, and your weapons.”
Here’s some other pretty awesome features about the game:
- Single Player Campaign with full 4-player splitscreen co-op (online support coming very soon).
- Massive, expandable skill tree. Rack in the loot to upgrade your character, your bike, and your weapons.
- A deep motorcycle fighting system with grabs, kicks, counters, critical strikes, and more.
- Full support for both mouse & keyboard and gamepad control configurations.
Of course, it’s an Early Access title so things are likely to change over time, remember if you find any problems or have any improvements, let Darkseas Interactive know and help improve the game! That’s half the charm of Early Access!
