Last week Bethesda revealed the recommended PC specifications for their upcoming scarefest, The Evil Within, and they were pretty scary to say the least. But if you wanted to experience the game how the developers intended, those were the specs you’d need. For those who don’t own such a powerhouse of a rig, Bethesda have now released the minimum specifications which thankfully aren’t that scary!
These minimum specifications don’t come without compromise, unfortunately, as Bethesda have revealed that for those with these specs or higher won’t be able to run the game at 1080p and it’s likely that you’ll “need to turn off some features, but you will still be able to have a great experience with the game.” So sure, you’ll at least be able to play the game, but it won’t quite be the horrorfest Bethesda intended.
So here are the recommended specs for those who want to see if they can at least run the game:
- OS: Windows 7/8.1
- GPU: GTX 460 or an equivalent 1 GB VRAM card
- CPU: i7 or an equivalent 4+ core processor
- RAM: 4 GB
- HDD: 50 GB
The Evil Within launches on October 14 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. For those looking to grab the game on Xbox One you’ll be pleased to know you can pre-download the game right now!
