ASUS have announced that they will not be left behind in Android software and they will start upgrading their ZenFone and PadFone ranges to the new Android 5.0 from April 2015.

Companies such as Motorola, HTC and Sony have already confirmed that their flagship phones will include the new Android 5.0, also known as Lollipop, but there were a few concerns from ASUS Smartphone users as they have only just upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat at the beginning on October.

As confirmed by a Taiwanese website, Sogi, ASUS have confirmed that from April 2015 they will upgrade their ZenFone range, including the ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, ZenFone 6, ZenFone 5 LTE and the PadFone S. It has also confirmed that the Android 5.0 will be available for the new PadFone Infinity from June 2015.

The Android 5.0 comes with a “Kill Switch” for additional safety towards theft called “Factory Reset Protection” which will completely wipe all of your personal data from your phone. Google have also included a new Battery Saver app which claims to lengthen the battery life by up to 90 minutes.
