If you were offline over the weekend you may have missed that Microsoft accidentally ran an advert which stated that the Xbox One exclusive, Sunset Overdrive, was coming to PC too. Microsoft quickly refuted the ad stating simply that the ad was a “mistake.” Though this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Sunset Overdrive and PC mentioned in the same sentence.

Earlier this year, Insomniac’s James Stevenson was asked whether the game would be coming to PC to which he replied that right now there are no plans to release on the PC but “I don’t know what the future holds,” he added.

This weekend an ad was released which listed Sunset Overdrive as coming to Xbox One and PC, something which Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra quickly refuted as gospel in a tweet which read “On the Sunset Xbox/PC ad: Not true, this was a simple mistake and the team is aware/addressing. Sorry for any confusion!”

As simple of a mistake it may be, I have a weird feeling that the game may eventually launch on PC too depending on how well the game does on Xbox One.

Sunset Overdrive launches on Xbox One on October 31.
