San Andreas IS Coming to Xbox 360!

It snuck up on us like a whisper, but it appears that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is indeed coming to Xbox 360 following rumours that it would be after a set of achievements were leaked and the hype around the GTA Online celebrations. Although, of all places, it was a support thread that gave it all away.

Users noticed how the Xbox Originals version of the game had been removed from Xbox Live, prompting the question being posed to the folks at Rockstar where they told us what we had been hoping for.

GTA: San Andreas on the Xbox Marketplace will be available again for purchase beginning October 26th, 2014, through Games on Demand. This version features 720p resolution, enhanced draw distance, and Achievement support.

Rockstar have also added that the saves on the Games on Demand version of San Andreas will not be compatible with the Xbox Originals version and so save files will not transfer over. Those who have the Xbox Originals copy will still be able to play the game on their consoles and from your download history, but you’ll also get the option to buy the rerelease.

Hooray! So who’s going to be getting this? I know I will be.
