Since Activision announced a new three-year development cycle for the Call of Duty franchise I was a little saddened that I’d have to wait another two years before I can get my fix of Call of Duty Zombies goodness. For those of you joining me in sadness there’s light at the end of the tunnel, Zombies are coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare!
That’s right, Zombies are coming to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Exo Survival mode but they won’t be the same old shuffling meatbags we’re used to from the World at War and Black Ops series’, these undead nasties have their own Exo Suits.. Bloody fantastic, who’s idea was that then?
Rumours that Zombies would be returning were first leaked when the Xbox Achievements for the title were listed with one particular achievement – “Sucessfully complete the Exo Survival Bonus Wave” – that seemed to show a zombie as the icon. Shortly after these rumours were then confirmed by Sledgehammer’s Michael Condrey by posting a larger version of the icon on his Instagram page with the caption “Oh my!!! Confirmed.”
Here’s the image for yourself:
Oh my!!! Confirmed.

So it’s not quite the Zombie infested mode we’re all used to and does seem to only be a bonus wave within the game, but it’s still something, right?
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC on November 4. Players who pre-order the title get the Day Zero Edition which nets them the game a day earlier on November 3.
