For those of you who own a PlayStation 4, you may have thought that you were going to miss the Evolve Big Alpha all together, an annoying prospect considering most people got into the Alpha by pre-ordering the 4v1 title. Thankfully 2K has some good news for you, the Alpha is now available on PlayStation 4!

Following the release of the latest PlayStation 4 firmware many problems arose mostly surrounding access to online services on the PlayStation Network, as a result 2K revealed that Turtle Rock had hit a snag with getting the Alpha to work on PlayStation 4 so they postponed the Big Alpha until further notice.

Thankfully those problems have been overcome and the Big Alpha is now running on the PlayStation 4 and just in case you think you’ll miss out on the action, they’ve extended the Alpha period until Tuesday.

“We’re happy to announce that Evolve Big Alpha is now available to play on PlayStation 4. We appreciate your patience while we worked to overcome difficulties caused by the recent PS4 firmware upgrade. Now it’s time to hunt!” Turtle Rock said in an email.

“As a Goliath-sized ‘thank you’ for being so patient, we’re extending Evolve Big Alpha until Tuesday, November 4th at 12PM Pacific Time (That’s 8PM UTC on Tuesday, November 4th).”

For those of you who have already entered your code and have pre-downloaded the client, all you’ll need to do now is download an update and you’ll be thrown into the epic 4v1 battles that the Alpha has on offer, if you haven’t redeemed your code yet, now’s the chance to do so and download the client as normal to get access.
