Earlier this week Rockstar officially announced that the next-gen rerelease of Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, this November and PC this coming January, will be getting a first person mode that’ll throw you into the shoes of the games main protagonists in the games story mode. This left us wondering whether the first person mode would be taken over to the multiplayer mode in Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto Online, and it seems like it is! Awesome.
Rockstar hasn’t quite gone into details of the first person mode on GTA Online, but according to IGN, players can force the first-person mode when hosting a multiplayer session. It’ll work the same way as setting the vehicle type, race mode, weapons, and weather, and will force all players in that session into the first-person mode.
We’ve reached out to Rockstar to see whether first person mode can be activated in the free-roam found in GTA Online, we’ll update this post as soon as we hear back.
For those of you who have revisited Grand Theft Auto Online recently and thought that their character looked more like Gollum than an a character you thought resembled yourself, you’ll be pleased to know that you’ll be given a second change to tailor your character when you import your game over to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC versions of the game. According to IGN’s report, you’ll be given the option to rebuild their avatar, with a new system that allows for more detailed facial customisation.
