arsenal FIFA 15

Sunset Overdrive launched last Friday and though it only launched on Xbox One the game did pretty freaking well for itself, so much so that it debuted in second place this week, unfortunately though, FIFA 15 is still holding strong in first place. Will anything shake the football title from the top spot?

FIFA 15 has been in the top spot for six consecutive weeks crowning the title the longest-running game to be in first place so far this year. Last week Chart-Track reported that sales of EA Sports’ football title were on the decline, but this week, even with a decent handful of new releases, the games sales have increased by 6 per cent over last week.

Elsewhere in the charts, 2K Sports/Take 2’s WWE 2K15 pile drives itself into number 5, CI Games’ Lords of the Fallen enters the fray in number 11 – though its likely the majority of sales were digital, something that Chart-Track doesn’t count.

Telltale’s The Walking Dead enters the charts at number 23, Giants Games Farming Simulator 15 entered the charts at 25 – but again digital sales aren’t accounted for. Further down the charts another new entry, The Walking Dead: Game of the Year, entered at number 36, Nordic Games reboot of MX vs. ATV entered the charts at number 38, and finally Vita exclusive Freedom Wars landed in the top 40 at number 39.

A pretty big week for new releases, but with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launching across the next two days, could we finally have a contender to knock FIFA 15 from the top spot?

Here’s the top-10 run down:

  1. FIFA 15
  2. Sunset Overdrive
  3. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition
  4. The Evil Within
  5. WWE2K15
  6. Destiny
  7. Forza Horizon 2
  8. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
  9. Skylanders Trap Team
  10. Minecraft: Xbox Edition
