arsenal FIFA 15

We’ve got one more week until the UK’s official Christmas Number One video game is announced and it seems EA’s latest FIFA title is once again in the running to claim the crown. With just ten more sleeps until Christmas, this weekend will mark a final push for everyone to nab their Christmas gifts, hopefully shifting the top-ten somewhat by next Monday.

Hey, I’m not bitter about FIFA 15 claiming Christmas Number One, I’m just rooting for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare to hit the top spot. We can only hope, eh? Anyway, back to the charts, this week remains relatively unchanged other than the addition of two new titles into the top-ten, Just Dance 2015 and Destiny. The former received an 11 per cent sales spike this week, with a huge 66 per cent of those sales being for the Wii, that’s right, the Wii.

The latter of the two actually bounced back into the charts due to the release of the games latest expansion, The Dark Below, causing the game to receive a 29 per cent spike in sales.

Moving back up the charts, FIFA 15 remains number one despite a drop in sales of around 21 per cent..

Here’s the full run-down:

  1. FIFA 15
  2. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
  3. Grand Theft Auto 5
  4. Far Cry 4
  5. Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
  6. Just Dance 2015
  7. Minecraft: Xbox Edition
  8. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition
  9. Destiny
  10. Assassin’s Creed: Unity
