In the run up to Christmas, it’s always interesting to see who is in the running to be this year’s Christmas number one in the video game charts, the next few weeks will be an epic battle between the top three hitters as shoppers are purchasing their gifts ahead of the big day. But who are the top three? Well right now, it’s between FIFA 15, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and the re-release of Grand Theft Auto V, but who will be the ultimate winner?

Last week saw the release of Ubisoft’s always-online racer, The Crew, a game which has had mixed reactions from both gamers and press and that is definitely apparent in the charts this week as the title debuts in sixth place. As for the top spot, FIFA 15 reclaimed its place and is currently in the running to once again earn the title of Christmas number 1.

According to Chart-Track, The Crew sold 59 per cent of its physical copies on PlayStation 4, with 33 per cent going to the Xbox One, 8 per cent for the Xbox 360, and finally a single per cent for the PC. This of course doesn’t count digital downloads, something which many people are opting to go for in recent times.

The only other new release this week was the PlayStation 3 remaster Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 which entered in 31st place.

Here’s the full rundown:

  1. FIFA 15
  2. Call of Duty: Avanced Warfare
  3. Grand Theft Auto 5

  5. Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
