If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the sandbox zombie survival MMO, H1Z1, then you’ll be pleased to know that it’s now entered Early Access on Steam! To celebrate Sony Online Entertainment has also released a new trailer for the game.
Announced in April, 2013, SEO’s John Smedley revealed that we’ll be getting to play the game in as little as four to six weeks time. If you haven’t already guessed, that never happened, and the phrase “coming soon” has become a running joke in the H1Z1 community. So when Sony announced the arrival of the game on Early Access “soon” we didn’t know whether to believe it or not, but thankfully it was gospel and it’s finally here!
The Early Access version of the game will set you back $19.99 or $39.99 depending on the version you purchase, and will get you access to the game which, right now, contains a fair few bugs, placeholder artwork, pretty low-quality characters, and more – according to the recent dev post. You do however get to hide from zombies as well as fellow H1Z1 fans, or if you prefer, go all guns blazing and mow them down with any weapons you manage to scavenge.
Check out the new trailer above, and head over to the Steam page to purchase the title.
