It’s been a bit of a rocky start for Sony Online Entertainment’s zombie survival title, H1Z1, with the launch being plagued with login issues, then many players being frustrated and annoyed with the games “pay-to-win” crate drops, and as of the early hours of this morning, the game’s servers have been down, and eight hours later there’s still nothing.

Thankfully Sony Online Entertainment’s John Smedley has been on hand to keep players updated, though for some, that’s not enough.

First time the game fell offline, SOE was aware of the issue and were busy working on a fix, it all seemed to be going well when Smedley tweeted:

But it didn’t last for too long as seventeen minutes later, Smedley tweeted the following:

From here, almost five and a half hours later, there were no updates and the game continued to be offline, when Smedley followed up his last tweet with:

With no real ETA as to when the game will come back online, players are now stuck twiddling their thumbs wondering when the game will go back online. Granted, it is an Early Access title, so some downtime is to be expected, but with massive MMO’s like Everquest and Planetside 2 under their belts, you’d expect something more from Sony Online Entertainment, right?

We’ll keep you posted on any updates.
