Though HTC have already sent out invites to their March 1, Mobile World Congress event revealing that an improved camera could be on the cards for their next flagship. Bloomberg has grabbed some more details on the device, which is currently codenamed the M9.
According to the news service, the HTC One M9 features a similar design to its predecessor with gold, grey, and silver colour options. It’s also definitely getting an improved camera too with the rear snapper coming in at a hefty 20 megapixels, though that would suggest HTC is abandoning their UltraPixel concept, HTC are planning to take the larger pixels around to the front of the device, which should make for better low lit selfies. The M9 will also run on the Snapdragon 810 processor, which suggests Qualcomm have solved the overheating issues.
It’ll also come with Dolby 5.1 audio technology as well as HTC Sense 7, HTC’s latest Android-based UI, according to the publication.
The report doesn’t stop there as Bloomberg also seem to have information on HTC’s smartwatch. Set to also be revealed in March, the device is said to hook into Under Armour’s fitness software. For those who don’t know, the sports clothing and accessory company announced a partnership with HTC at CES 2015 earlier this month. Unfortunately no other information was revealed, though it seems that HTC might also abandon Android Wear in the future.
