The eager eyed amongst us noticed that Bioshock 2 had in fact vanished from Steam, Xbox Live and the PSN marketplace with no explanation as to why the game had taken a vacation.
The game was released 5 years ago to the day which is leading to the rumour that the licensing has run out for the title. Thankfully that’s not the case as 2K had this to say in a statement to Polygon:
“BioShock 2 has been temporarily removed from the Steam, Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network marketplaces and will return to these digital stores soon, We’ll let you know when that happens. In the meantime, this in no way affects the single-player or multiplayer experience for those who currently own BioShock 2.”
So there’s no word yet on just how soon the game will return but it will be so dry your tears.
