Deadpool, a comic book fan favourite with a cult following who was infamously portrayed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). We saw Ryan Reynolds man the role with seemingly a lot of potential in the first act of the film but eventually, as fans across the world sighed, the character of Deadpool was destroyed by the end. That sigh continued until news last year came in of a Deadpool standalone film, with Ryan Reynolds getting at the helm of the role again for the second coming.

A cheeky move that of course only proves that Ryan Reynolds is of course perfect and perhaps the only fit for the cheeky shoes of Wade Wilson. Teasing us ever so more by filtering the image to make us want only more.

Mr. Reynolds has had a fun time on Twitter too, as today we saw him tweet a sneak peek of Deadpool’s signature mask:

We’ve heard almost very little else about the forthcoming Deadpool film, rumours are that T.J Miller (Cloverfield, Transformers: Age of Extinction) will be involved and that Tim Miller, a man with few credits, is taking directorial duties as well as writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland) also being a part of the production on the screenwriting end of things.

We can only hope to see more snippets from Deadpool along the way to release, set for the 12th of February 2016. Are you excited to see Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson on the big screen again? I’ve got my fingers crossed that this follows in the footsteps of the most recent X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014) and we see more things put right within the Marvel Film Universe.
