If you’re still clinging onto the hopes that Sony and Evolution Studios will release the PlayStation Plus Edition of DriveClub, then you’re going to have to cling on for much, much longer, as the free version of the game is still far off in the distance.
Set to be the star of October’s PlayStation Plus offering, Sony and Evolution decided to delay the free edition due to the main game’s servers being seriously unstable and the introduction of even more players could send things over the edge. Unfortunately for those wanting to try the game before buying, that meant waiting, and waiting, and waiting.
With little to no updates in the past couple of months, the racer’s official Twitter account has told one player that “we’re getting there, but there’s still a lot of server development needed to support the PS+ Edition.” Simply put, there’s no chance of seeing it any time soon.
By now however the game has likely become more affordable as time has gone on, and you’ve probably lost interest all together. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
