Following the release of Titanfall last year, both EA and Respawn Entertainment stated that the sequel to the mech-centric shooter, which is currently exclusive to Xbox consoles, may in fact land on other consoles. Now, EA have once again confirmed the news during Monday’s 2015 Technology, Internet & Media Conference.
During the conference, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen, spoke briefly about the future of Titanfall saying that the publisher and Respawn Entertainment will “probably have another Titanfall game, and as stated before, it could come to PlayStation consoles too.
“Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven’t yet announced, but we’ll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that’s a huge positive for us.”
Titanfall launched exclusively on Xbox consoles and PC in March last year, and was the first of many multiplayer-focused shooters for consoles. The rumoured sequel to Titanfall was reportedly greenlit back in March 2014, and is set to be a multiplatform title.
Could we see Titanfall 2 at E3 this year?
