Earlier this week a UK retailer popped up a pre-order page for the LG Watch Urbane that the Korean company unveiled on Monday, and that very same pre-order page also included a price-tag for the more fashion-conscious smartwatch at £299.00 making it the most expensive Android Wear smartwatch to date.
Online retailer Expansys published their pre-order page in the UK offering the fancy new all-metal smartwatch to customers for a pretty hefty price-tag of £299.99, that’s a little over £100 more than the LG G Watch R, and with practically the same technology inside, all you’re really paying for is the sleek new all-metal design.
Though saying that, it’s still cheaper than Apple’s entry-level Apple Watch which has a premium price of around $349. This price tag however reflects the competition between the two companies as the Urbane is clearly aimed at the more fashion conscious folk, as is the Apple Watch.
Chances are, LG has their sights set firmly on tempting those looking to get the Apple Watch, but are likely looking for something more affordable.
We’re set to see more of the LG Watch Urbane at MWC in March.
