Ever wanted to play Destiny with Shaun White, or Call of Duty with Snoop Dogg, or Madden with Stephen Curry? Well now you can while at the same time supporting charities such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, the USO and The V Foundation for Cancer Research, and becoming a PlayStation Hero.
Using the PlayStation Heroes app, players can purchase digital themes, and other items which will enter the player into a sweepstakes in which they can win a celebrity gaming session, and you won’t just be playing with the likes of Mr. Dogg online, there’s also real-life opportunities to meet them too.
The first celebrity taking part is Shaun White, who’ll be playing Destiny in March, and though information is yet to be revealed, Snoop Dogg, Golden State Warriors NBA player Stephen Curry, and LA Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig are also involved.
Sony has revealed that 90 per cent of the item purchase price will be going to the charity’s as well as the company already giving each one $100,000 to get things going.
