Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s next DLC ascends onto Xbox at the end of the month, Activision has announced.
The second map pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to cause mayhem exclusively first on Xbox later this month with four brand new maps and the second part of the Exo Zombies experience. A trailer is also being prepared for the DLC drop, but you’re going to have to tune into the Call of Duty: Championships to see it debut.
“Ascendance has it all, four all-new maps that were designed from the ground up for Exo abilities and the next chilling entry in the Exo Zombies experience. We’re really excited and can’t wait to play with the community in just a couple of weeks,” said Michael Condrey, Co-Founder and Studio Head, Sledgehammer Games.
Set to feature four new multiplayer maps, a brand new weapon, and the next part of the Exo Zombies, this DLC pack is the “definitive DLC package,” according to Activision. In addition to the four maps there’s also an all-new Exo Grapple ability playlist that’ll introduce a brand new Exo ability into multiplayer, giving players a faster way to reach strategic vantage points or brutal secondary weapon to take down the competition, exclusive to Ascendance maps.
The four maps coming to the game are; Perplex, a small to medium map set in a five-story modular apartment complex; Site 244, a medium to large three-lane map set on a downed alien spacecraft; Climate, a small to medium sized map set in a man-made climate controlled eden; and Chop Shop, a medium sized, symmetrical map set in a black market industrial complex. Each map also comes with an exclusive scorestreak too with environmental effects.
Finally, the Exo Zombies saga continues in an all-new episode entitled Infected. Join the four Atlas employees we met in the first episode, still portrayed by the celebrity cast from before, as they fight tooth and nail through more zombie hordes. This time they’re outside the Atlas facility featuring a bunch of new undead nasties, and an arsenal of new traps and weapons, as well as a familiar location: Burgertown.
The gameplay trailer for Ascendance is set to debut during the 2015 Call of Duty Championship, Presented by Xbox, broadcast on Xbox Live and other broadcast partners on Sunday, 29th March. Though if you’re not too keen on watching people playing Call of Duty, and would rather play it, stay tuned for the trailer to appear on n3rdabl3 soon after.
