Bandai Namco Games has revealed that Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will launch a day early!
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin was set to launch on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on April 3 it seems Bandai Namco and From Software has had a change of heart and are instead launching the game a day earlier than planned. Though it’s likely more to do with April 3 being Good Friday and a Bank Holiday here in the UK. So now, you can enter the world of Dark Souls II a day earlier while you prepare your stomach for the onslaught of chocolate eggs and a relaxing four-day weekend.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is essentially a re-release for last-gen consoles and PC (DX9) which bundles all of the game’s DLC into one lovely neat package. It also includes a number of gameplay changes and improvements which will keep veteran players on their toes. As for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (DX11) release, well that’s also a re-release but it’ll be the first time it lands on new-generation consoles. It’ll include all of the game’s DLC, as well as gameplay enhancements, improved graphics, and more.
As for the DLC, you’ll get Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King, as well as The Scholar, a new NPC to shed new light on the Dark Souls II story.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will now launch across all platforms on April 2.
