Some mixed murmurs were made when Jesse Eisenberg was cast as the role of infamous supervillain Lex Luthor, but now we get to see him in character for the first time.
Entertainment Weekly got the scoop on Eisenberg’s new look as the Superman villain for the upcoming DC movie feature Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Zack Snyder helms the movie, which is now only a year away, and has managed to stay extremely tight lipped on what we’re getting out of this movie. We’ve been teased with Ben Affleck in the Batsuit with a glimpse of the Batmobile, we’ve seen Henry Cavill standing strong and Gal Gadot’s appearance as the first live action Wonder Woman on the big screen – not forgetting Jason Mamoa’s Aquaman calling to ‘Unite the Seven‘ only a short time ago.
Snyder spoke to Entertainment Weekly more about Eisenberg’s role as Luthor, “He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure,” says Snyder, “other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.” He also added that, “Our Lex is disarming and he’s not fake. He says what he believes and he says what’s on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it’s all there.”
No doubt we’ll get to see more teases for the highly anticipated kickstart to the Justice League following 2013’s Man of Steel. Anyway, here’s Jesse Eisenberg in his completely bald, sinister glory…
