Turtle Rock’s latest patch for Evolve nerfs my favourite monster..
Thanks Turtle Rock, the only monster I manage to kick ass with, is getting nerfed in an upcoming patch in addition to several other tweaks on the game. It seems the Wraith was just a little too over powered. Not that I cared, I totally owned the battlefield with that beast..
In the upcoming 1.3 patch, Evolve will be getting a handful of balance updates, with minor maintenance and improvements being added to all monsters, as well as some minor tweaks to the Kraken and Goliath. The most notable change in this patch however comes to the Wraith, who many believe is a little over powered (yeah right). Either way, the team are “making her movement speed less bursty which makes her easier to keep track of. Making Supernova less lethal while still allowing it to be just as powerful. Making Warp Blast a damage dealer instead of a traversal mechanic.”
In Lamen’s terms, she’ll be bursting 25 per cent slower, and the Supernova will have its duration axed by 50 per cent. That’s not all however, as the two remaining abilities have been adjusted too, as her Decoy has been tweaked to make her visible for half a second when shot while cloaked, and the cooldown time has been increased by two seconds. As for the Warp Blast, well the speed has been reduced 40 per cent, the range no longer levels up, instead the radius does. The max travel distance is set to 30 metres for all levels, and finally, the damage has been increased by ten per cent.
A number of other increasingly dramatic tweaks have been done to some of the Hunters abilities too, all of which you can read in the 1.3 patch notes.
