LG are preparing an event for late April, many presume the LG G4 will be unveiled
In an invite to press, LG are preparing to announce their next flagship device at an event in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, and Istanbul at the end of April, with the first three being held on April 28, and the final two being held on April 29, though it’s likely they’ll be held simultaneously with the time difference pushing the Singapore and Istanbul events into the following day.
Samsung and HTC have already unveiled their 2015 flagship devices, and though they’re yet to fully launch they’re already drumming up interest for their devices. LG on the otherhand has revealed and launched their successor to the LG G Flex, but not the successor to the LG G4, that is until now as this event is presumably for their next flagship.
Up until now, all we know about the LG G4 is taken from various leaks online. So far the rumours suggest that LG may launch the LG G4 with a metal body design instead of a plastic shell, it’ll also be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor and come with a 15 megapixel camera. It’ll likely come with a QHD screen found on the LG G3, there’s also rumours that a fingerprint sensor will be added to the device, and the screen will offer a slight curve.
The invite which you can see below (Thanks, Android Headlines) also features a stitched leather background which could suggest LG are going down the same route as Samsung and offering stitched leather effect on the back, or alternatively in the same direction as Motorola and offering the ability to customise their phone. This if course is speculation and could just be a fancy leather background.
