These Star Wars Figures by Square Enix are Pretty Bad Ass

Though Square isn’t necessarily associated with Star Wars, that hasn’t stopped them creating these awesome figurines..

Square Enix is well known for making series’ of collectable figurines from popular culture which have a “Variant” appearance, meaning they’re the characters you know and love but with an all-new look. And that’s exactly what they’ve done with these Star Wars characters in a new line of Variant Play Arts figures, and though I’m not that into Star Wars, these look totally bad ass.

Featuring a redesigned Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and a Storm Trooper, these new redesigns look a little more epic than their current movie counterparts. Touting more ‘fitted’ armour, balls of flames in their palms, and jetpack effects, these figures would look perfect on our nerdy shelf.

Check them out in the gallery below. Though the Darth Vader figure has been around since last May, the new Storm Trooper and Boba Fett characters will be available in July for 12,960 yen or US$109.
