Battlefield Hardline remains in first place despite stiff competition from PS4 exclusive Bloodborne
One of EA’s best selling titles so far this year, Battlefield Hardline, has managed to fend of the challenge from From Software’s PlayStation 4 exclusive, Bloodborne, in the UK charts this week, with the game outselling the new release by 22,500 units.
According to Chart-Track, EA’s shooter had a pretty impressive second week in terns of sales, managing to keep a hold of the top spot. According to the chart tracker, Battlefield 4 had a much better launch week, but Hardline had a much better second week, likely due to last Friday being payday in the UK.
It’s not all bad news for Bloodborne because despite missing out on number one in the all formats chart, it is number one in the single format chart, so that’s something, right?
Borderlands: The Handsome Jack collection also launched last which which packs Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and all of its DLC into one package for the latest-gen consoles, landed in third place.
The only other new entry to land in the top forty this week is RIDE, which landed in 25th place, launching on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3 – fairly confusing considering Milestone announced RIDE was also delayed in Europe for the PlayStation edition..
