Glu Mobile is putting another celebrity in the limelight with Britney Spears

Following the success of Kim Kardashian’s mobile game Glu Mobile have their sights on a new star to feature in their new game. Unfortunately it seems the likes of Beyoncé and Lady GaGa were busy as all they managed to find was Britney Spears. According to the company, the new game will focus on the “glitz and glamour of the entertainment business”.

Apparently Spears will have “creative influence” over the game, and as part of the agreement a five-year deal with an option for a three-year extension gets Glu access to Spears’ voice and likeness for the game.

17 years ago was the first time Britney Spears graced our TV screens in one of the most iconic debut videos for a female artist and quickly became one of the music industry’s most celebrated icons. To date she’s managed to shift over 100 million albums worldwide and has around 39 million Facebook fans and over 41.7 million followers on Twitter.

Taking that into account, it comes as no surprise that Glu have a keen interest in getting Britney on board with another free-to-play mobile game. More details about the new Britney Spears game will be announced later, it’s expected to launch in 2016.
