Stainless Games has revealed that the release of Carmageddon Reincarnated is delayed “just a tad” as extra time is needed to complete the game.
For those looking forward to April 23 to once again tear up the street and cause utter chaos in an overly blood-filled world, you’ll be saddened to hear that Max Damage needs a few more weeks in order to get his beast of a vehicle in order. Stainless Games announced the news in a press release yesterday saying that they’re “pushing that date out by what is technically referred to as ‘a tad’.”
Now, Carmageddon Reincarnated will be launching a little while later on May 21. Stainless made the difficult decision to push the game back during their final “Go/No Go” meeting, and since announcing the original release date the developers have been working around the clock to get things done, but it just wasn’t enough time.
“We know that many of you have expressed the opinion that you’d rather we brought you a better game than release too soon. And we agree!” Said Stainless Games.
Until then, Carmageddon Reincarnation which is currently in Early Access will receive one more update before the new release date, which will feature a number of improvements to the game.
