German developer, Envision Entertainment will now handle the free-to-play game, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances
Originally developed by EA Phenomic, Envision Entertainment has today revealed that they’ll be taking over operations on the free-to-play browser based game, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances under a new agreement with EA. The German based studio will now handle development, support, community management, and live operations for the game from today, onwards.
Envision Entertainment are a world-class development studio specialised on strategy games, so they’re a perfect fit for this long-running title based on the Command & Conquer franchise. The studio was originally founded by industry veterans Dirk Ringe and Volker Wertich, who were previously at EA Phenomic prior to its closure. So really, EA Phenomic are still developing the game, but under a new name. The studio also features most of EA Phenomic’s talent who originally developed the game.
According to the press release, “Envision will form a dedicated team for the game to ensure the best experience for Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances players.” So here’s hoping they inject more life into the game.
“We love this game and we will do everything to make it an even better experience for its faithful players,” says Ringe.
