One of the most hotly anticipated movie releases of 2015 is Jurassic World, which is the fourth instalment of the classic Jurassic Park series.
Hot on the heels of a trailer that sent the web into meltdown the first full clip from the movie has been released online, and it gives some of the base details away about Chris Pratt’s character, one Owen Grady.
Pratt has had a meteoric rise to Hollywood fame following his transformation from hilarious vagabond Andy Dwyer in comedy series Parks and Recreation to action movie all-star in a lead role in The Guardians of the Galaxy and it looks like the off-the-cuff humour that make Pratt’s characters so likeable remains in Jurassic World.
The clip only shows a small segment of a conversation between main protagonist Grady and head of operations at the dino-themed amusement park, Claire Dearing (played by Bryce Dallas Howard of The Help, Terminator: Salvation and Spider Man 3), but from this short clip it is clear that Grady is a character that Pratt has been able to manipulate to suit his famous sense of humour.
One significant reveal from the new clip is the fact that there’s now nail on confirmation that Jurassic World will feature a dinosaur that has been genetically constructed by the park, so we can expect a shiny CGI’d ‘new dinosaur’ – this has been a crux of the storyline that has been teased in trailers and storyline leaks but this is the first time that we’ve seen on screen confirmation from the movie itself.
It also seems that Pratt’s character has the ability to “control” raptors, which is the obvious reason for his character holding an association with the park itself.
There also seems to be a ‘will they, won’t they’ vibe between Pratt’s and Howard’s characters, so it might be fair to assume a typical Hollywood happy ever after type of ending between the two characters – should they avoid the multitude of sharp claws and huge teeth that are out to rip them from limb to limb of course.
Jurassic World will be hitting cinema screen in the UK on June 12 2015.
