Metal Gear Online will support 16 players on PC and new gen, 12 on old.
Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer portion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will allow a total of 16 players into a match at a time on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Konami’s Japanese wesbite has given away, which was spotted by Videogamer. As for old generation consoles, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, well you’re going to be stuck with up to 12 players.
Metal Gear Online was first unveiled back in December last year and will be a revival of the multiplayer mode introduced in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Players will be able to chose from some of the game’s famed characters including Snake himself, as they’re tasked with different missions such as base infiltration and defending assets.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is expected to launch on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on September 1. Hopefully by then Hideo Kojima comes out from hiding.
