Kakashi Hatake, mentor of Naruto is is officially unmasked in special manga
Ninjas are always supposed to hide their faces. The mentor of Naruto, Kakashi Hatake has always embraced this ideal very fiercely. I mean it was bad enough that he used his Hidden Leaf Village headband to hide his Sharingan which gives him his copy powers, along with his nickname, the Copy Ninja.
Now finally, after 700 chapters, hundreds of TV episodes, dozens of games, and a whole heap of special Naruto goodies coming up, we get to see all of Kakashi’s face. We’ve had word that the manga’s artist, Masashi Kishimoto, was keen to show the characters full face, but we were never sure when. Until now.
As part of the Naruto exhibit, which is being hosted in Japan, a special manga has been written of a special flashback and nostalgic tale. Following the exploits of the original Team 7. Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura band together to help a photographer looking to catch a snap of his face. The actual twist? The photographer is Kakashi.

Nah, just kidding here it is
So check it out Naruto. It’s your mentors face. So why does Kakashi hide his face? Well, you’ll just have to wait and find out.
The mysterious mentor to Naruto hasn’t had an easy life. His father, the White Fang had made him a pariah and the underdog. As a young and cocky junior ninja he lost one of his team mates in disastrous mission for The Hidden Leaf Village, but gained the Sharingan, a special human eye with special powers. He was also forced to kill Rin who had became host to a demon.
This lead to Kakashi becoming unsociable and an overall miserable character. After some time in the Hidden Leaf Villages black ops unit, The Anbu did him some good. Especially when it’s decided that he must mentor the next generation of ninja. That’s when he meet Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. And the rest is history.
Here’s another look at that face again, and the cover of the exclusive manga.
