Oddworld Inhabitants has confirmed that they’re working on a remake of Abe’s Exoddus! Huzzah!
Following the success off Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, which is essentially a remake of the PlayStation One title, Abe’s Oddysee, developer Lorne Lanning revealed that the company was indeed working on a remake of Abe’s Exoddus for those wanting to continue their adventures in Oddworld.
Right now details are pretty thin on the ground, but what we do know is that during a Kinda Funny Games stream on Twitch, Lanning confirmed that Oddworld Inhabitants are planning to start work on a “full ground-up remake of Abe’s Exoddus.” This news was then confirmed again in yesterday’s Oddworld blog.
“We get asked every day whether this is going to happen so it’s nice to finally be able to say that this is indeed our intention,” reads the blog post.
As for the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, they’re still in development and are still planned for release later this year. The PlayStation 3 versions is also close to being complete and will also be available soon.
If you haven’t yet checked it out, New ‘n’ Tasty is out now for PS4, PC and Xbox One as a digital download, so what are you waiting for?
