EA has revealed that Battlefield Hardline sold the most copies for the current generation of consoles
During EA’s earnings calls yesterday the publisher revealed that the majority of sales of it’s latest Battlefield title were for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The company also relayed its expectations of the new consoles install base growing to reach 50 million.
Their optimism was of course down to how well Battlefield Hardline sold on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which considering the title also launched on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, says a lot about the state of current-console gaming.
“Illustrating how far the transition has already come, approximately four out of every five copies of Battlefield Hardline sold for consoles that were either Xbox One or PlayStation 4,” said EA CFO Blake Jorgensen.
