Andy Serkis’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens character revealed

Andy Serkis will be playing Supreme Leader Snoke in the upcoming Star Wars film.

The news was announced by StarWars.com as they added a carriage to the hype train by interviewing photographer Annie Leibovitz, the woman behind the lens snapping cast photos for Vanity Fair.

By the revealed photo we can now confirm that Serkis will either be playing a mo-cap character or that guy from James Bond with the diamonds in his face.

Unfortunately there are no images yet of what Serkis will look like on the big screen, or who Snoke is, but we did hear Serkis’ voice in the first teaser trailer and a smart bet would be on a dark side role when you add the menacing shot by Leibovitz to the less that cheery voiceover.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters on December the 18th this year.
