Dino survival title, ARK: Survival Evolved is coming to Early Access next month
Ever since it’s initial announcement we’ve been doing nothing but pine for more news about ARK: Survival Evolved, a brand new survival game from Studio Wildcard which throws players butt naked onto an island and are expected to fend for themselves as well as fend off any other survivors and of course: the wild life which happens to be a bit.. prehistoric.
Set for a release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Studio Wildcard has confirmed that those eager to dive into the game can do so as early as June 2 when the game launches into Early Access. But that’s not all, those who do opt-in to the Early Access beta will also receive a bonus “TSL Bling Gift”. You’re probably wondering what TSL actually is. Well it’s a game with a similar concept called The Stomping Land which secured $100,000 on Kickstarter, launched into Early Access, then.. well.. died.
Studio Wildcard have showed their sympathies for those who purchased the game, though ensure none of the team worked on The Stomping Land, and are offering a pare of “Stomped Land Bling Shades”, a cosmetic accessory players can stick on their very own Tyrannosaurus Rex. Check out the hilariously cheesy bling shot above.
In addition to the Early Access announcement, the developers have also confirmed the appearance of five new ARK dinosaurs and their abilities: Dilophosaurus, Sabertooth, Titanoboa, Coelacanth, Pteranodon. You can spot the screenshots and bios for each below.
As for the console release of the game, no news has been revealed yet but it still seems to be on track for its 2016 release on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as offering Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift VR support.
