FIFA 16 says no to Nintendo

FIFA 16 may be released just for console this year, unlike last year where FIFA 15 was released on both the 3DS and PS Vita. Also, if you’re a Wii/Wii U gamer, you may also be out of luck. Since EA is swaying away from Nintendo platforms for FIFA 16.

FIFA 16 features and platforms had been announced earlier this week by EA. The game will be released on current gen platforms which is, Xbox One, PS4 and PC, along with last-gen platforms, Xbox 360 and PS4. EA also announced that the newest addition to the FIFA games (FIFA 16) will be released on September 22nd.

The games will not be released on the Wii U, much like last year. However, unlike last year, FIFA 16 will not be released on the Original Wii. Meaning that no Nintendo platforms will get this game. This is the first time this has happened in since 2000, with the release of FIFA 2001.

As for mobile platforms, EA hasn’t announced whether or not Smartphones and Tablets will get the game. “With regards to FIFA 16 there isn’t a Vita or 3DS version,” said EA. “We don’t have any further detail on the mobile version but will be sure to share with you when we hear more.”
