Now the cast has finally been confirmed for Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic, the ‘first look’ spot and images are here to give you a taste of what’s to come
So I know what you’re already thinking.. Hasn’t there already been a Steve Jobs biopic? To answer that simply, yes. Yes there has. But this one isn’t in the style of an indie movie starring Ashton Kutcher. This is one backed by Universal, stars Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogen, written by Aaron Sorkin, and directed by Danny Boyle. And while Jobs was a fantastic movie in its own right, this one is apparently going to be much better, and show off the later-part of Steve Jobs’ life.
The clip, while it doesn’t reveal too much, offers a glimpse at what we’re to expect in the movie. It also shows us Fassbender as the late Apple CEO, Steve Jobs. It’s also set to star Seth Rogen as Apple co-creator Steve Wozniak, and Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley. Kate Winslet, Katherine Waterston, and Michael Stuhlbarg are also set to star in the movie which has been given a November 13 release date.
The official Synopsis reads:
Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.
So while it’s likely a bigger budget that Jobs, starring Kutcher, this particular movie will focus on just a small part of Jobs’ life as Apple, the company behind the iPhone, MacBook, and iMac, is about to take off.
