Goat Simulator is parodying another video game genre in the latest free update, this time: zombie survival.
Coffee Stain Studios is once again offering a video game parody with a goaty twist. It began with a Goat MMO, now we’ve got a zombie survival title. When will it ever stop? The latest content pack for Goat Simulator adds zombies, crafting, and the same snort-inducing buggy gameplay you’ve come to expect and love with Coffee Stain’s happy accident. GoatZ is an insane mashup of both genres and y’know what, it might just work.. maybe.
GoatZ will be released in May 7 on Steam as DLC for the game costing $4.99. It’ll launch as a separate app too for Android and iOS for the same price. The game is set to include features such as a “mandatory crafting system because everyone else is doing it”, as well as “Zombies that bug out. There’s a pun here about actual living bugs, but we’re not going to bother,” revealed Coffee Stain in the official features list. It’ll also have:
- You can craft anything in the world, as long as it’s one of the half dozen weapons in the game
- Zombies, because this is a zombie game, remember?
- A pretty big new map with some stuff in it
- Completely realistic survival mode where you have to eat every damn five minutes to survive because Dean Hall & Garry Newman said so
The name of course is also what you get when you blend Goat Simulator and DayZ.. Though it also reminds us of GOATSE, which we totally thought we’d forgotten about. ?
