With both Huawei and LG under consideration for the next Google Nexus device, LG has teased some exciting news
The Google Nexus 5 was a highly acclaimed phone by both users and critics, and while the Nexus 6 offers something a little different, many are looking for a true successor to the Nexus 5 and it looks like one could be on the way. Google is apparently in talks with both Huawei and LG for the manufacturers of the next Nexus, but now LG has revealed that they could in fact make the next device.
Android focused blog, Android Pit is claiming that LG has shared interest in making a new Nexus smartphone this year with a source stating that a new Nexus device is “under consideration” at LG. No further details have been shared on this and it’s not actually clear how many devices Google is set to launch this year or whether they’ll be bigger and better, or a little more modest in size. Though if LG does take the reigns for another year, chances are it’ll take come cues from the LG G4.
Other reports suggest that Huawei is taking the reigns with a fairly large 5.7-inch display with a 2K resolution.
Google is set to reveal more information about Android M later this month at Google I/O and could possibly show off hardware to go with it, though usually Google tends to wait until October for any hardware reveals.
