Reports suggest the previous gen version of Mortal Kombat X will be delayed even further to the fall.
Mortal Kombat X has already been delayed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from the same release date as the PC and current-gen version to June 2. But it looks like it might not even make that as reports suggest the game will be delayed even further.
According to GameStop employees familiar with the matter speaking with Kotaku, customers were notified as early as May 22 to let them know that PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 had been delayed until the fall. This wouldn’t be the first time Warner Bros. has revealed a delayed release date a few weeks prior to release. The same thing happened with the original delay, which was announced to fans a month before release.
Instead of the June 2 release date as currently planned, GameStop has now listed the game’s release as December 31. Warner Bros. have yet to comment on the matter.
Since launch Mortal Kombat X has been the fastest selling entry into the title to-date and last month the NPD Group revealed that the Xbox One version topped the US gaming charts in April. Could we ever see a previous-gen release of Mortal Kombat X?
