Oppo has posted several images of the upcoming R7 and R7 plus, with an official unveiling date of May 20.
Earlier this year, images and video came out to suggest that the R7 (just known as Oppo’s next flagship at the time) was bezel-less. However, this has proven not to be the case and in fact, the R7 Plus is the one without bezels.
Both devices offer a metal design, the R7 has capitative touch buttons on the front whereas its big brother does not. The R7 offers Oppo’s VOOC fast charging technology but does not have a finger print scanner on the back, which the R7 Plus does.
There is no official news on specs but a GFXBench benchmark for the Plus has been revealed. According to that, it has a 5.9-inch screen at 1080p resolution, a MediaTek octa-core 1.9 GHz processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In addition, a 7MP camera on both the front and back.
Both devices look very clean and sleek so they’ll be compelling products if the specs are there to back them up. We’ll find out on May 20.
