Playable Female Character and No Multiplayer Rumoured for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

With a little under five hours until the big reveal, information about Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate has surfaced ahead of time

Now, we’ve already heard that the game will be called Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, and that it’ll contain a main protagonist named Jacob and will be set in the Victorian Era. Now however we have more information about the game, including that it’ll contain not one, but two main playable characters, a female called Evie. This comes as a surprise to  many considering Ubisoft’s previous stance on female characters, but that’s in the past right? Lets look towards the new Assassin’s Creed!

Jacob and Evie, according to sources speaking with Kotaku, are brother and sister and will be “heavily involved in the criminal underworld of Victorian London,” revealed the publication. In addition as to who you’ll be playing as, the source also indicated how much you’ll be playing as each character with a 75/25 split between Jacob and Evie.

There’s also word that the game won’t contain a multiplayer mode, though players can switch between Jacob and Evie outside of the game’s main story. With a lack of multiplayer it’s likely that this Assassin’s Creed will have a heavy focus on the game’s campaign, something which I’m sure many fans of the series are excited about.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate is expected to be revealed at 17:00 UK time. Stick around as we’ll be writing it up as it happens!
