Teen horror survival title, Until Dawn, will spook up a storm on PlayStation 4 this August

For those of you wondering what’s happening with Supermassive’s teen horror inspired survival game Until Dawn, after an incredibly long period of silence, we now finally have a release date for the title. Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, the developer revealed that you’ll be able to determine the fate of eight friends on August 25.

According to the blog post, Supermassive games have entered the final stages of development and hope to share a lot more information over the coming months. Chances are we’ll see much more of the game at E3 next month. In addition to the release date, they’ve revealed a new cast member, Peter Stormare, who you’ll likely recognise from Prison Break or The Big Lebowski.

In the blog post, Supermassive’s Executive producer Pete Samuels said:

“He gave some incredibly powerful performances in the motion capture studio and you can tell from the end result in the game that he had some fun with the character. We couldn’t be happier to have him in the games and I can’t wait for you to see him in full flow.”

Players can pre-order the game from today and those that do will receive a special bonus scene which see’s two of the game’s cast, a new couple: Matt and Emily who are out alone on the mountain. Guess what, it’s definitely not a good idea.
